Dean Urbanski, a rising senior in Kent State University’s Construction Management program, began working with Lawler Construction in the Spring of 2019 as a Co-op Project Assistant. While pursuing his Bachelor of Science Degree, Dean recently became certified as a LEED Green Associate. During Dean’s time at Kent he has taken a very active role in the Construction Management Student Organization and has had the opportunity to represent the University in numerous construction management and proposal competitions. These competitions simulate or utilize actual project documents in a competitive atmosphere. Dean is able to apply the real-world experience he is gaining at Lawler Construction to his academic work and the competitions. With great ambition and a passion for construction, Dean stood out as a great candidate for a co-op at Lawler Construction. We have found that he approaches work at our office with the same passion and energy that he displayed during the recruitment process. These attributes, combined with an eagerness to learn and produce results, are already proving valuable to his work and will certainly help him grow into an effective project executive one day. We are both pleased and excited to have him with us and encourage you to take some time to speak with him when you call in or stop by our office.
