Emanuel is Lawler Construction’s latest 2026 Summer co-op and will be joining us part-time in the fall while he finishes his degree. We met Emanuel at the job fair and his personable bearing and strong resume helped him stand out from the crowd. He also came with prior co-op experience that he gained in the heavy/highway sector of the industry while working on water treatment projects. Having experienced the fast pace and team oriented efforts required in the complex world of process plant construction, Emanuel is eager to gain additional knowledge to aid in the development of his overall understanding of the industry. Coupling administrative efforts with field operations, Emanuel is able to observe and experience the results of his actions almost every day. With opportunities to be involved in estimating and pre-construction services, project start-ups, active projects, and project closeouts, he will experience the entire project life-cycle and be immersed in each aspect along the way. Lawler Construction’s focus on quality control and safety, which Emanuel was introduced to in his previous experiences, are being furthered during his time at Lawler. Emanuel has spent the first couple months of his co-op being exposed to safety program administration and training as well as trial by fire in project admin functions.

Emanuel has cited a personal interest in physical activity, getting out to project sites and engaging with tradecraft personnel which will afford him additional opportunities to witness and experience the varied pace of work and some of the real life constraints encountered while putting work in place. Having previously worked on the more macro scale of infrastructure systems, Emanuel is now seeing the challenges of complex interior trade integration such as food service and laboratory work; both of which require strong coordination and constant communication between all parties. It is exactly this kind of diverse knowledge that Emanuel is seeking and we are pleased to be able to support him.

Emanuel has quickly demonstrated strong dedication and commitment to his craft, a thirst for knowledge, and a good work ethic. He fits in well with our tight knit staff with his good attitude and ready sense of humor.  We’re excited about the time that we will have with Emanuel and will work with him to ensure that he has plenty of time for his own leisure activities. Beyond staying active, he enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as traveling. When you meet Emanuel in person, please welcome him and introduce yourself.
