2019 has developed into another active year for Lawler Construction.
Coming into the new year we were actively working on two lab projects; one at Case and one for R. W. Beckett as well as working toward the completion of the Dave’s Supermarket located in Cleveland on E. 61st St.
We kicked off the year with our first project for Firefighters Community Credit Union and K4 Architecture. With a select bidders list, we were able to rise to the top on this ground up facility located in Parma, Ohio. Look for further details in a future article on this project.
Throughout the first half of the year we picked up a nice grouping of projects for Case that are scattered around the campus and entail a variety of uses within the University.
Early in the year we worked with Van Auken Akins Architects on budgeting for a new learning commons at Ursuline College. We were later able to successfully gain a contract on this project as well as a restroom remodeling project, designed by Bialosky Cleveland, in one of the dorm buildings. These are our first two projects for Ursuline and we are looking forward to an ongoing relationship.
We are preparing to begin work for another longstanding customer, Heinen’s, at their #1 store located in Shaker Heights and hope to complete that work in October.
A recent award is a medical office suite for another new customer, Asia Ohio Service in Action. This project is also located in Cleveland in the mid-town area.
With a continuing group of both recently bid projects and projects in the queue to bid, we expect to continue to acquire new work throughout the year.
We are providing pre-construction services for several projects that we have high expectations for transitioning into active construction in the coming months as well.
